Pam
Lefkowitz has over 20 years of computer experience. The journey
has taken her from beta testing modems to opening her own consulting company
in 1996. Pams expertise in network design and integration, backup
management, and general computer support is top-quality and has won her
clients of all sizes from large enterprise environments
such as Motorola and Abbott Labs to smaller businesses. Pam's attention
to detail and unyielding ethics has made for a loyal customer base who
look at Pam more as a business partner than as a consultant.
Pam was among the first 10 consultants in the country to achieve OS X certification from Apple Computer
and was the
first female in the US to to receive that designation.
She currently holds four Apple Certified Technical Coordinator designations, both Apple Certified HelpDesk Specialist designations and three Apple Certified System Administrator certifications.
She is among the top 15 consultants in the country and holds more OS X Certifications than all but a few people in the world. She is a Certified member of the Apple Consultants Network and, because
of her knowledge and her achievements, has been invited by Apple to
serve on the organization's Advisory Council. She is considered to be
one of the top consultants in the country, frequently fielding support calls for
OS X Server and general Macintosh support from clients and peers around
the US and Canada.
The
Apple Certified System Administrator certification is designed
for full-time professional system administrators and engineers managing
medium-to-large networks of systems utilizing Mac OS X Server in demanding
and relatively complex multiplatform deployments.
Her company
is certified with the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, and Cook
County as a Female Business Enterprise and is an approved vendor for the
Chicago Public Schools.
Quotes
from just a few of our clients and colleagues:
"In
all my work with Apple's partners, I have never met one more dedicated
to knowing Apple, Apple products and Apple-centered solutions, than Pam
Lefkowitz. She is tough, tenacious and gets things done for Apple, her
customers and her partners. If you have challenges with Apple technology,
I highly recommend Pam Lefkowitz as a consultant."
Todd Lohenry,
Account Executive,
Apple Computer, Inc.

"My
experience with and the services provided by both Pam Lefkowitz and Jim
Vestal of Core Computing Technologies has been excellent. They continuously
research the field for the latest changes in the technology. With this
they have been able anticipate my needs, make recommendations with regard
to computer platform changes and software upgrades, and execute acquisition
and installation in a timely manor. Additionally, they have been dedicated
and diligent in administering software upgrades minimizing impact
by working around my schedule so that I had my system available whenever
I needed it. I can highly recommend Pam and Jim to anyone interested in
excellent service with regard to problem solving, technology acquisition
and upgrades, system administration, and support."
Jay Krebs,
Director of Engineering
Motorola Land Mobile Products Sector -

"Pam
Lefkowitz is that rare breed a savvy computer pro who can talk
in plain, understandable English instead of computer-ese to technophobes
like me. She's amazingly responsive and helpful, and her willingness to
do whatever it takes to solve a problem has saved me more times than I
care to recall. If it's possible to solve a problem on the phone or via
email, she'll do it that way; if she needs to come to my office, she does
that. She's practical, too, and the solutions she recommends make sense.
She knows her stuff, she's generous with her knowledge, and she's great
to work with. I can't recommend her too highly."

"I am very appreciative
of your wealth of knowledge, your humor, and your generosity in sharing!"

"I felt
really low on the totem pole when Pam was kind enough to walk me through
fixing a server over the phone while she was picking up Chinese food.
Pam knows her stuff very well....I hope to emulate some day soon!"

"As
you probably already know I've been coordinating member-sponsored TechKitchens
here in LA. One request I get time and time again is for a three to four
hour UNIX for Mac Consultants hands-on session. Somebody to walk participants
on their laptops through a series of Terminal exercises.
A person that can not only tell them WHAT to do but WHY to do it and WHEN
to do it. And most important of all WHAT NOT to do. When I ask the members
who they know who might be capable of leading such a session your name
comes up time and time again. 'It should be somebody like Pam.' 'She saves
my butt so often I've got her phone number memorized.' And, there's more,
equally as complimentary."
